My daughter is participating in Phoenix Chinese Dance Academy’s Voyage Along the Yellow River dance production at the O’Shaughnessy Theater in St Paul, MN. She will not be in school on Friday, January 23 as we prepare for the production.

The show is significant for our culture because it marks the beginning of the Minnesota Chinese community celebrations to welcome the 2026 Lunar New Year. As a dancer in the production, my daughter plays a role in helping honor the Chinese cultural traditions that our family values.

We understand the importance of regular attendance and will ensure that all missed classwork is completed in a timely manner upon return.
